Recently described as ‘the Australian version of Tina Turner’ after her performances supporting Leon Bridges (US) on his Australian tour, melodic architect and soulful crooner Ainslie Wills, known for her genre bending progressive pop tunes is dynamic performer embodying both strength and vulnerability.
Following on from her Australian and Melbourne music prize nominated LP You go your way, I’ll go mine which was deemed ‘a beguiling debut’ by the folks at Rolling Stone, her most recent offering in EP Oh The Gold is one of her most sonically ambitious recordings to date. The EP was given a nod by the folks at Triple J, Double J, Radio National and Bandcamp Weekly. BBC 6 radio UK also made the single Constellations Headphones Moment of The Day via the morning show with Lauren Laverne.
In support of the EP Ainslie has been touring nationally including spots at Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass, NYE on the Hill and has earned a spot on this years Womadelaide line-up.
