Sophie Lowe has emerged in 2015 as a force to be reckoned with, releasing singles ‘Understand’ and ‘Pink Flowers’ to wide spread praise, she has gone from strength to strength supporting sold out shows across the country with Meg Mac and Montaigne .
2015 was huge for the singer, songwriter and established actor , her single ‘Understand’ was added to high rotation on triple j and shows off Sophie’s developed and layered sound, with gentle electronic textures supporting and dancing around her unmistakable voice. Sophie switched gears for her most recent single ‘Pink Flowers’, tapping into the more seductive side of the 25 year old artist/actress.
Sophie recently released her new EP ‘EP 2’ , seven tracks which show off this young singer/songwriters prowess. Sophie takes control in her EP, creating personal and captivating music; something she says is so very special to her.
The 25 year old actress/songwriter was featured in a full page Rolling Stone editorial as well as being named ‘One of their favourite artists of 2015’ and has also co-directed videos for ‘Understand’ and ‘Pink Flowers’ both of which have been added to rotation on rage and MTV as well as being featured on Channel V’s Disco[V]er .
Sophie Lowe has her sights set on 2016 with a feature film ‘Waiting for the Miracle to Come’ starring Willie Nelson, working with new and exciting collaborators, Sophie Lowe is not a name to be forgotten.
