Niche welcomes Moonbase Commander to the local agency roster

Niche is very excited to welcome Moonbase Commander to the local agency roster! Arising from the darker and grimier side of the Sydney bass scene, Moonbase Commander is a producer who has begun to chisel a strong presence and sound that stands between the worlds of hip-hop, juke and beats.

Known for his forward-thinking flips and sought-after remixes, MBC has worked with a growing list of both national and international artists alike. Moonbase released his track “Serve It Up” with New York MC Cakes Da Killa earlier this year, and within days Pitchfork reviewed it in Best New Music.

Moonbase Commander is currently working on a plethora of new material which is set to drop across 2 upcoming EPs with October Records, forging strong sounds with fellow rising stars of the rap game. On his upcoming releases, he has collaborations with the likes of Dr Dre protégé Anderson .Paak (who has appeared on 6 tracks off the recently released Compton), TT The Artist and more with Cakes Da Killa. All this whilst playing his signature live sets around Australia supporting artists like Earl Sweatshirt and Tkay Maidza, as well as appearing at BigSound and an upcoming show at One Day’s newly created festival, One Day Only.
