Niche Productions presents two of the world’s most dynamic DJs – Benji B and Mark Pritchard - playing together for one prodigious night at Tone on Thursday 27 January 2011.
Hailing from the UK, Benji B is a unique DJ, renowned for his unprecedented selections and distinctive style. Seamlessly drawing from several genres at once; in a single set you’ll hear brand new dubs and classic tunes side by side, the most cutting edge House, Dubstep and UK Funky tracks on the uptempo side as well as bassbin shattering Hip Hop and the best of the Beat scene.
It is this well rounded outlook that landed Benji his own show on BBC Radio 1, taking over from the legendary Mary-Anne Hobbs, as well as playing host to one of London’s most successful club nights – Deviation, which he is expanding to feature at several European festivals this year and beyond.
Also featuring on the bill is British ex-pat Mark Pritchard. Known for his fearless DJ sets and productions under a wealth of guises and collaborative efforts like Troubleman, Global Communications, Jedi Knights, Harmonic 33 and most recently Africa Hi-Tech and Harmonic 313, he can be heard on labels like Hyperdub, War, Far Out, Sonar Kollektiv and Deep Medi Musik. Unsurprisingly, it’s on Benji B’s radio show that a lot of Mark Pritchard’s music is first heard by the world with exclusive debut spins.
Together, these two progressive artists will put on a show not to be missed – keeping the Niche Productions summer gig frenzy going strong.
