February 2011
Billboards, Melbourne

‘THE 20th ANNIVERSARY OF ‘DE LA SOUL IS DEAD’ - A RETROSPECTIVE CELEBRATION OF ONE OF HIP HOP’S GREATEST ALBUMS!

One of the most important recordings in the evolution of hip hop is De La Soul’s milestone album, ‘De La Soul Is Dead’. At the time of its release it literally altered the cultural landscape of hip hop music across the globe and ushered in a new era of positivity and consciousness in global hip hop culture.

The album was produced by legendary DJ producer Prince Paul, and between them, Paul, Mase, Dave and Pos gave birth to one of the most loved and celebrated hip hop records of all time, which included classic De La joints like ‘(A Rollerskatin Jam Called) Saturdays’, ‘Ring Ring’, ’Keepin The Faith’ and ‘Pass The Plugs’.

2011 is the 20th anniversary of the release of this golden moment in hip hop history, and to celebrate, Peace Music is proud to present De La Soul, Prince Paul and special international guests, live in concert, performing the album in its entirety from start to finish.

This is a once in a life time opportunity to see one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time recreated live in concert. De La Soul’s 2009 tour of Australia sold out venues around the country, so get your tickets fast to avoid disappointment.
