Niche Productions presents the return of world renowned beat maker DJ Vadim this November for three intimate shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
Described as the ‘John Coltrane of hiphop’, Russian born UK based DJ Vadim has made a long career out of travelling the world and delivering innovative head pounding beats – performing an average of around 170 shows a year.
Forming his own label in 1994 – ‘Jazz Fudge’, Vadim signed to UK institution Ninja Tune the following year and eventually BBE in 2007 where he currently resides. Aside from record producing and DJ-ing, Vadim has helped scout new talent working in A&R as well as hosting ‘Around The World In Eight Relays’ on BBC Radio.
Releasing his most recent album 'U Can't Lurn Imaginashun’ in 2009, Vadim has churned out an abundance of releases over the past 14 years including four solo albums, two group albums, one remix album, countless mix tapes, EPs and remixes.
Through all his globe-trotting and exploration Vadim has worked and collaborated with the best in the business including Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Public Enemy, Dilated Peoples and Fat Freddy’s Drop to name but a few.
Vadim is also helping label Ninja Tune celebrate their 20th anniversary this year, performing at the celebrations in the UK and France later in the year.
