Electric Empire

March 2011
Oxford Arts Factory - Sydney

Fast becoming one of Australia’s foremost Soul act, the charismatic Electric Empire have just announced two special shows to celebrate the upcoming release of their self titled debut album in stores – which features lead single Baby Your Lovin’. They’ll be hitting Sydney on Friday 18 March at Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne on Friday 1 April at the Evelyn Hotel.

Forming in 2009 and taking the Sydney and Melbourne music scenes by storm in 2010, 2011 is shaping up to be huge for the trio with performances happening at St Kilda Festival and Playground Weekender Festival as well as an invitation to perform at the celebrated Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK.

Featuring a line up of three multi-talented musicians: Dennis Dowlut on guitar, Aaron Mendoza on keys and Jason Heerah drums, each band member also double on lead vocals, swapping between songs, and creating some very colourful harmonies.

Now gearing up for some of their own headline shows as well as working on their new album, Electric Empire have also played along side the crème de la crème of the dynamic soul scene including The Bamboos, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Brand New Heavies and Mayer Hawthorne & The County.
