Niche Productions proudly announces the return of one of New Zealand's most exciting and energetic live bands. After their sell out 2007 tour, the boys return to Brisbane & Sydney for special showcase events, bringing new material along from their recently released self titled album KORA
Hailing from Aotearoa, the five-piece KORA blend dub, funk, reggae, hard rock, blues and house into an exhilarating live show. Tight, phat and heavy, KORA’S sound is grounded with a powerhouse rhythm section and overlaid with rich, soulful vocals.
Following the success of their acclaimed EP °ÆVolume°Ø which reached number 2 on the IMNZ Independent Music New Zealand) chart and achieved Platinum status in New Zealand, KORA just released the debut self titled album, seeing it shoot straight to the top of the Official NZ charts °©debuting at the coveted number 1 slot. Based on the recent success of this, the boys show no signs of slowing down!
No strangers to Australia, KORA have previously toured with fellow Kiwis Fat Freddy’s Drop and Salmonella Dub, while recently returning from successful shows in London and Scotland with luminaries Norman J and Crazy Penis. Catch them on their return in January.
