Following the release of her debut album ‘Just Say’ last year, electric vocalist Kylie Auldist is back with the launch of her second album ‘Made Of Stone’ on Saturday October 31 at the East Brunswick Club.
‘Made Of Stone’ is a sizzling collection of original, grown-up pop with warm, retro-inspired funk and mod soul flavours complementing the razor sharp musicianship, crystal clear production and Kylie’s incisive lyrical voice.
‘Made Of Stone’ has already been receiving airplay from the likes of Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1), Mark Lamarr (BBC Radio 2) and Craig Charles (BBC Radio 6) as well as back home being PBS Radio’s Album of the week.
Kylie’s voice has been heard by millions around the country after singing the theme song to the Logie award-winning Showcase Channel TV drama 'Satisfaction' and having tracks from her debut album ‘Cut You Loose’ and ‘Just Say’ featured in the number 1 rating show ‘Packed To The Rafters’.
Kylie, who is signed to UK institution Tru Thoughts Records has been busy singing with The Bamboos all over the country as well as with Cookin’ On 3 Burners for their September European tour.
The launch will feature Kylie with a full 11 piece backing band including live string section and backing vocalists as well as an acoustic set from Ella Thompson and PBS’ DJ Pierre Baroni.
Made Of Stone is out now through Tru Thoughts Records and is available at all good music stores.
