Just announced, for the very first time in Australia, Rainer Truby (Truby Trio) of Germany’s Compost Records, to play Sydney and Melbourne on the June long weekend.
Rainer Truby is the favourite DJ of music gurus like Gilles Peterson, LTJ Bukem and Peter Kruder. Past member of a forest mighty black, compiler of legendary dj kicks, talkin jazz and the amazing Glucklich compilations and self proclaimed ‘jazz hooligan’, with over 20 original releases, 50 remixes and 10 compilations to his name, Rainer Truby’s turntable tactics have made him one of the most important educators and DJs on the worldwide scene.
His seemingly endless knowledge of musical history combined with his vinyl addiction has made him an unbelievable source of inspiration and information for many. Rainer now makes the sun shine with Truby trio, their original organic blend of Brazilian rhythms and modern beats characterising not only their own highly original tunes on Germany’s Compost records but also on their remixes for artists like peace orchestra, Nitin Sawhney, Bobby Matos and Coldfeet.
