The Brainfeeder takeover continues with LA’s Tokimonsta - hot off the release of her debut EP Creature Dreams - touching down in Sydney for one night only and joined by one of the most creative peers in the Future Beat scenes.
After wowing crowds across Oz last year Tokimonsta (aka Jennifer Lee) returns with a swag of new tunes under her belt, blended seamlessly in her live set which incorporates her own material and the best the Beat scene has to offer. She will be repping Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label to the fullest, which again looks set to dominate in 2011.
Nosaj Thing makes his debut live appearance in Australia following a flurry of remix attention for his work on songs by The xx, Radiohead and Flying Lotus (amongst others). His 2009 album Drift on Alpha Pup Records stood out in an ever-crowded Beat scene, notably pushed forward by support from folks like Teebs, Jamie xx, Dorian Concept and Daedelus.
Following from a devastating line up of Bass marauders in January including Dam-Funk, Flying Lotus’ live band and Gaslamp Killer, Niche Productions again brings the goods with a lineup that stacks on the value as much as it does the innovation and the decibels.
