Osunlade - Butterfly (Yoruba)
Osunlade has followed up his Rebirth LP with an inevitable remix package and it hits all the right notes as far as House heads will want to know. You can’t really place a foot wrong when you include Karizma, Phil Asher, Ron Trent and Kiko Navarro in on the action now, can you? Starting with Trent’s deep vocal take on Butterfly the EP then goes melodic and slightly techy thanks to a Kaytronik dub before being whisked away to a more straight-ahead fluffy house production from Phil Asher, which is interesting considering his own current release Textya is an Afro-tech stomper. They save the best till last with Kiko Navarro turning in a mid tempo boogie flavoured remix and a frighteningly percussive uptempo dub. In the box, as they say! Watch out for three new Osunlade releases out on Yoruba as we go to print, too.
