Ron Basejam - Deep & Meaningles Remixes (ISM)
It’s with great pleasure that I can announce the second release by Yam Who’s ISM label. Following on from the delightfully disco-fied Turtle Pizza Cadillacs by Parallel Dance Ensemble (a collaboration by Denmark’s Robin Hannibal and New Zealand Coco Solid that spawned from Red Bull Music Academy Barcelona), ISM presents a new pseudonym from Crazy P’s Jim Barron, who now goes by the name of Ron Basejam. You want remixes? You got em. And not just any old producers have been invited to have a crack at tracks from the Deep and Meaningless LP; we’re talking Hot Coins, Ashley Beedle, PBR Street Gang, Killer Whale and two interpretations from both Hot Toddy and The Revenge. As you can expect, it treads the line between stretched out cosmic business and more funked up disco that is so versatile and essential to your CD wallet it’s bound to be a massive single for DJs of all shapes and sizes. One of The Revenge remixes is particularly adventurous; almost slipping out of time before it drops like a stone. Patience is rewarded on that one! Look out for the album soon, too.
