V/A - Got The Bug II
Bugz In The Attic’s main man Seiji is giving away all manner of treats on his website www.seiji.co.uk so get over there right now for his takes on Crookers and Kid Cudi’s latest Embrace The Martians, it is such an enjoyable slice of acid-pop that is bound to rock your world. Unfortunately what does not really rock the world is the new Got The Bug II comp on BBE, which, for BITA enthusiasts just seems to travel too much of a worn out path. Do we need to hear another remix of Tell Him? And what happened to the Soul II Soul Remix? I think this one may have suffered at the hands of licensing issues, which can really cause problems when tracks aren’t available or people are slow to approve requests. Perhaps the promo version I got is abridged. It’s not too say it’s not good and DJs who are just getting in to the sound need it because it’s a valuable tool, I just figured it would press more buttons like Seiji’s been doing free-of-charge lately! At the very least they could have given us some remixes people had done for their poorly promoted Back In The Doghouse album???
