V/A - Toddla T Fabric

I really admire the way Fabric and Fabriclive mixes land on our doorsteps the minute that something is showing promise of bursting. Toddla T’s job from a couple of months ago, whilst featuring an annoying autotune compare, is put together in a staggering fashion with a number of VIP mixes and blends ranging from Bollywood bangers to Dubstep, Bassline House and what could loosely be called ‘Urban.’ Toddla T is steering the ship of all things Urban, so far as I am concerned and to hear he’s cooking up some treats with Seiji makes me even happier as the two really have a handle on modern dance techniques and then flipping them with Caribbean riddims and Afro sensibilities. Whether this mix will stand the test of the time is another thing all together, what is most important is that this is a definitive snapshot of the world of innovative club music right now and hopefully a sign of what our Summer is going to sound like.
